The hospital was founded in 1988 and belongs to the Hirslanden Private Hospital Group which is constantly developing and expanding. The hospital has 145 beds, the experience and expertise of 150 affiliated doctors and in-house physicians with 800 friendly employees to cater to your private medical care.
The Hirslanden Clinic Aarau has 155 beds including single, double and multi-bed rooms that were designed to create a pleasant atmosphere. Each room has the following amenities:
- electric adjustable beds that can be extended where needed,
- toilets and showers. Terry towelling, soap, shower gel and a shower cap are at your disposal. A hairdryer and a bathrobe are available upon request. There is a bathrobe in the room for those who have private insurance,
- a wardrobe with a locker for storage of personal items and small amounts of cash: please leave valuables (such as jewellery) at home,
- a direct dial and card phone.
A radio and a TV with a wide selection of national and international channels: a videotape player is available upon request. Videocassettes cannot be rented in the clinic.
The Internet and e-mail: each room has free Wi-Fi. You can bring your laptop with you or rent one from the clinic for a fee (the number of laptops is limited).
You can send or receive a fax at the reception.
Please note that smoking is prohibited in the clinic, including the rooms and balconies.
The clinic offers single and double rooms. If you choose a single room, an accompanying person will be able to stay with you. A double room is shared with a patient of the same gender.
The enhanced comfort rooms are equipped with a safety box, a fridge and upholstered furniture.

The patient and the accompanying person are offered a daily choice of three menus. If you are on a specific diet for any reason, you will be offered an individual menu. Please inform the medical staff about your dietary preferences prior to the treatment.

Your companion may stay with you in your room or at a hotel of your choice during the fixed program.

Aarau is the capital of the northern Swiss canton of Aargau. The city is also the capital of the district of Aarau. It is German-speaking and predominantly Protestant. Aarau is situated on the Swiss plateau, in the valley of the Aare, on the river's right bank, and at the southern foot of the Jura mountains, and is west of Zürich, and 65 kilometers northeast of Bern. The municipality borders directly on the Canton of Solothurn to the west. It is the second-largest city in Aargau after Wettingen. At the beginning of 2010 Rohr became a suburb of Aarau.
