Obesity, i.e. the expressed excessive weight resulting from the increased content of internal fat, has recently become the more common medical problem in our society. Weight-reducing treatment requires an integrated approach, interdisciplinary and multi-professional cooperation.
Obesity can contribute to development of many different diseases, e.g., diabetes, heart stroke, pain in joints, as well as different types of cancer. Moreover, obese patients often suffer from mental problems, partly caused by the obesity problem. Weight-reducing treatment is one of our specialization areas. Our experienced professionals advise their patients on nutrition issues and help them develop an optimal diet. Physiotherapist of our training center will help improve physical fitness and bring the body back in order. If following the advice of nutritionists and physical therapists can’t bring you a desired improvement of health, you will be offered a variety of surgical procedures, such as gastric bypass, vertical gastrectomy using laparoscopic techniques with the maximum level of safety. Before operating on a patient with obesity (bariatric surgery), our specialists always perform a thorough diagnosis of his/her health as agreed with the family doctor. Then, the patient is included into a structured rehabilitation program.
