Rheumatology deals with the diagnosis of musculoskeletal system diseases and their treatment. Such musculoskeletal system diseases include degenerative or inflammatory changes in the spine and joints, soft tissue rheumatism or pain caused by excessive loads and weights, diseases due to metabolic disorders, orthopedic or therapeutic sequelae, common pain of the musculoskeletal system, as well as it rehabilitation. Along with medicinal treatment of musculoskeletal system diseases, we offer to select and perform the physical therapy, manual therapy of the spine and joints, shoulder decalcification/needling, diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis, ergonomic diagnosis and consultation, treatment of trigger points, postsurgical care, injection treatment of the spine and joints, as well as the diagnosis and treatment of functional disorders and pain therapy. Our patients can be treated on inpatient and outpatient basis, and the treatment is accompanied by close collaboration between the various specialized centers of Klinik Birshof.
Rheumatology in Switzerland offers experienced medical experts, modern equipment, and advanced methods of treatment. We diagnose mechanical and inflammatory rheumatic diseases, as well as treat, inter alia, the following musculoskeletal system diseases:
- Arthritis (outpatient care)
- Osteoarthritis (outpatient care)
- Spine diseases (outpatient care)
The center also offers manual therapy and ultrasound diagnosis of joints.
