Bad Tennstedt is a resort town in Germany, located in the state of Thuringia. The town and the whole region is also called “The green heart of Germany” as Bad Tennstedt is surrounded by green meadows and hills, dense forests and lots of springs with crystal clear water. Therefore, anyone who wants to enjoy the beauty of nature and fresh air should come here. In 1816, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe came to Bad Tennstedt in order to improve his health in the healing sulfur springs opened a few years earlier. And now, one of the hotels of the town has a room named after this greatest poet. The historical part of the town is well preserved so you can see here the medieval city wall with towers, a large square, the town hall and the church.
